Listing criteria and verification
PlushSource is an independent directory, not a marketplace. Every listing exists to help a buyer decide which manufacturer to contact, so the criteria below describe both what earns a place in the directory and what each record does — and does not — claim to verify.
What gets listed
- The manufacturer publicly states on its own website that it produces plush to a customer’s design — custom, OEM, or ODM work — rather than only selling stock products.
- At least one commercial fact is published that a buyer can act on: a minimum order quantity, a sample or prototype service, a production location, or toy-safety certifications.
- Plush is a named part of the offering. Factories whose only plush reference is an incidental product line are not listed.
- Trading companies and sourcing agents are listed only when they state that they manage production with partner factories. Pure resellers and stock marketplaces are not manufacturers and are not listed.
- The website is reachable and identifiable as the business behind the name on the listing. A record cannot be built from a directory profile alone.
What each record is built from
- Each record is compiled by hand from the manufacturer’s own website and public sources such as certification registries and export records.
- Fields the manufacturer does not publish are left empty rather than estimated. When a page says “not stated”, the manufacturer has not published the figure.
- Certifications, MOQs, and sample times are recorded as the manufacturer states them. We do not independently audit factories, and a listing is not a certification.
- Facts are normalised into the same vocabulary across every listing — one MOQ banding, one service taxonomy, one certification list — so pages can be compared field by field.
What a listing does not claim
- A listing is not an endorsement, a ranking, or a quality guarantee. Featured placement is editorial and is never paid for.
- We do not handle quotes, samples, payments, or orders. Terms are agreed directly with the manufacturer.
- We do not verify unit prices, because manufacturers do not publish them; a quote is only meaningful against a specific design, size, material, and quantity.
Keeping records current
Listings are re-checked on a rolling basis and every page carries the date its data was last verified. This site’s data was last verified on 2026-10-08. If a manufacturer has changed its MOQ, certifications, or website, the listing is updated or removed rather than left stale.
Suggest a manufacturer or request a correction
If a manufacturer should be listed, or a record is wrong, tell us on the contact page. Manufacturers can also ask for their record to be corrected or removed there.
